The Association in NSW is a Registered Industrial Organisation of Employers under the Industrial Relations Act and as such, is empowered to act on your behalf in any industrial matter. It also enables this Association to provide its members with the latest information available on award and other industrial changes and information.

The range of services on offer to members are designed to support the wall and ceiling industry by providing industry backup for the specialist contractor and sub-contractor.

The Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries of Australia & New Zealand (AWCIANZ) represents the interests of member companies and plasterers in Australia & New Zealand.

The Association, in representing members of the plastering industries - contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, aims to:

  • Provide mutual assistance and advice on industrial, trade and business matters
  • Improve the status and standards of plastering work across all sections of the building industry
  • Promote a high ethical code

The AWCIANZ achieves these aims through Industry involvement.

The Federation of Wall and Ceiling Industries of Australia & New Zealand affiliation with other industry bodies, works to enhance the technical quality of materials, trade and business practices across the plastering industries.

The Association is recognised through the VBIA as part of the construction industry network and has extensive relationships with Manufacturers, Suppliers and other industry associations.

The association is a signatory of the Co managed Training Agreement.

The CFMEU (which incorporates the former craft based Plasterers Union) recognises the Association as representing the plaster industries as the sole negotiating body for the Plastering Sector of the Building and Construction Industry.

The two main TAFE providers and the other major Registered Training Organisations for plasterers are members.

Our Members are kept informed through newsletters, phone enquiry service, participation in Association activities and now through the web site.
