I have accidentally left a couple of un-sanded topped screws on the plasterboard when giving it to the painter. Does the painter have any responsibilities concerning this?

The Australian Standard AS/NZS 2311 Guide to the paint of Buildings states: Paper faced gypsum plasterboard requires checking to ensure that all joints are prepared to a smooth finish and are free of dust before the application of paint. The best way to ensure the responsibilities between the Plasterer and the Painter are understood is to have a pre-paint sign off at handover.
